Day
3 of the Classic was an experience of a lifetime. Sure, you can stream
it or see it on TV, but being here, and a part of the behind-the-curtain
production, was a unique experience.
One
important difference I’ve come away with at this event is it wasn't the manufacture-against-manufacture type of trade show I’ve participated in
before, but a very family-oriented, yet competitive, group of guys all
trying to be the best at what they love to do … fishing! And, to
entertain us in the process.
Day 3 and the weigh-in proved to be another experience of a lifetime. A few pictures follow.
The
last pictures are at the Press Conference ... From there we went to the
Winner's Mixer. This was attended by a core group of
friends and relatives, where we got to shake a few hands and meet the top
anglers, promoters, and dignitaries of BASS on a more personal basis.
Today we may get a little sightseeing in before the flight out to Birmingham and a late-night arrival. I'll put some pix up of the Fort Worth downtown and the beautiful architecture and parks. Stay tuned!
