Day 2 of Bassmaster Classic

Day 2 of the Bassmaster Classic had the arena filling from about a third to half capacity. From my vantage point on the media platform, I’ve been taking still pictures of the anglers as they come into the arena, sitting in their boats.

They are towed down the left side to a point where they can walk up the ramp with fish to be weighed. The weight and standing in the leader-board field is displayed on huge screens above the stage and broadcast worldwide on Fox Sports. The truck with boat in tow continues around the stage to pick up the anglers as they finish and exit on the opposite side.

While this is going on, Dan and Christie are in the media room watching on monitors and interviewing the anglers as they pass through. All of this gets uploaded to AdvancedAngler.com before we go to bed! Dan and Christie have the most work, while I get to take pix and enjoy the spectacle.

More to come on Sunday, the final day of fishing for the championship. Only 25 anglers remain in the running (originally 54) with $300,000 top prize at stake ... standby for more pix of the big show!
